Recording strings is often time consuming and extremely nuanced - trusting me to deliver on our shared vision saves you those precious hours while ensuring you get my best takes. As I’ve progressed as a person, musician, and composer, I’ve found myself wondering what it is that draws me to enjoy a particular song, write a certain melody, or experience a specific feeling. The answer to all of these is located in the intersection between emotion and theory. We want to understand the lyrics, not only through words, but through soundscapes that mirror and support what is written. In the absence of words, we even still have a desire to feel the often unnamable thing that moves us. In my experience it requires the braiding of emotional vision (writer), musical theory (composer), and technical skill (player) to create a memorable work.

t o u r i n g

Performing is something that I’ve been doing ever since my first cello recitals as a young child. I have always viewed my time spent studying and practicing as preparation for the stage. I love traveling, exploring new places, playing to new people - all while building lasting friendships in the process. I do have a deep love for writing and recording, but live performance is where I always feel at home, even when I’m far from my own.
